“So, I interpreted the topic more in terms of a futuristic view seeing life we’re getting among with. I guess like ‚freaks‘ having this kind of unusual way of reflecting on circumstances, for example what is happening right now. How is the outcome going to be?

With this series, I wanted to address more in what ways and variety we categorize people as well as our environment, it became so obvious. Due to uncertainty we don’t know often how to communicate it.

I was on my way to the middle of south holland, when I saw this construct. It seemed so calm and solid. I couldn’t grasp what the purpose was, but still I already had the imagery it was provoking. You saw those entrances, not knowing where they would lead you, as well as this ‚beige‘ color tone. It looked like Mars.”
